'Haiti Appeal'

We are delighted to announce that our school raised €261.00 for the 'Haiti' appeal.
Thank you to everyone and well done.

School planning day is on 3rd February. There will be no school for the children on that day.

Snow Clearing

The snow is clearing. The School will reopen on Thursday morning.

Take care travelling; drive carefully; wear sensible shoes and don't take chances. Wrap up well.

Update on Snow Scene

Yes the minister has said that schools may open earlier than Thursday of this week. However until we are sure of all issues as regards health and safety we are still planning to open on Thursday morning. The outlook may change dramatically so please wait for a final (hopefully) update tomorrow, 12 January.

Cold Snap Bites

The minister for Education has told all schools to close for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week ( 11, 12 and 13 January 2010). He will review the situation on Tuesday next.

Snow

Knockmore Junior National School will be closed this Thursday and Friday the 7th and 8th of January 2010. We hope to reopen on Monday 11th January but this depends on weather conditions. Watch this space for updates. We will post a notice in the window of Susan's Newsagent also. If you know someone with a child in Knockmore Senior School they will be notified about our school openings by text.
